What a wonderful week it has been at Abbey, with so much to celebrate and so many reasons to be thankful.

Welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely, restful Easter break. It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school and see them return so enthusiastic, settled and ready for the summer term ahead.

Although Easter weekend has now passed, we are still in the Easter season within the Church, which lasts for 50 days through to Pentecost. This is a special time when we continue to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and his presence with us. You may notice this reflected in the readings we share in worship, the colours in church, and our prayer tables in school, which are dressed to mark the season.

The summer term is always one of the busiest, with many opportunities for the children to learn, explore and celebrate together. We have a number of events to look forward to, including Sports Day, Art Week and a range of school trips.

We are also looking forward to our Summer Fair, our whole school picnic and our music lunch together. These are all wonderful occasions that bring our school community together.

We are very much looking forward to a happy and successful term ahead.
