It is with sadness that we inform you that Simon Hancock, Class of 1991 passed away last Tuesday after a 6 year battle with MND.
He was living in Australia, and spent his last days with his family around him, his two brothers Liam and Sean also attended SCC, they lived in the house between the school and The King Harry at the end of Romans End.
Simon was an extremely talented sportsman, and won numerous accolades at SCC, including being a National Basketball Champion with his year group twice over, coached by David Shannon-Little, he also represented Hertfordshire and the SE of England Basketball teams.
Simon went on to become a successful businessman based in Sydney, setting up his Brand Design Consultancy. 'There Design'.
Simon's Mum Carol and now deceased Dad, Chris, played a big part in their sons' education at SCC, and Chris was Chair of Governors for a number of years. Simon leaves behind his wife Shamini and two young children, Tej and Misha, he will be so sorely missed by all his family and friends.
Simon's funeral will be streamed live should anyone be interested, although it will be Australian time.
