Reclining in a hammock and finding worms. What could be better?! Our Forest school sessions have hit the ground running and it has been wonderful to see everyone, children as well as adults getting stuck in. Fostering a love and appreciation of nature. Plenty more to come. :-)

Remember remember the 5th of November! It all started in 1605. We look forward to the children re-enacting the story of Guy Fawkes and King James I.
The little poem actually goes like this…
“Remember remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder, treason, Should ever be forgot.”

The most meaningful relationships we have with our children are those built over time. Through hanging out, playing and supporting the children, we develop an innate understanding of their personalities and, in turn, they trust in our guidance. It makes our worlds a happy place!

Yoga is good for stilling the mind by focusing on the breath; holding positions allow freedom to just be. Our little ones enjoy this every week. x

The love of books and learning about insects and bugs. Time well spent. 💖

It was so rewarding to see how this little one enjoyed spending time in combining the yellow knob-less cylinders and the first set of knobbed cylinders. The joy in the discovery that they were the same size and the fact that they could be paired was wonderful.

Archie and Billie visited the nursery today. The children loved stroking them and giving them the occasional treat.

Interaction with animals helps to the develop empathy in children, something we strongly encourage at Albany Montessori. Empathy is one of the building blocks to become a healthy well functioning adult. The best time to learn empathy is in a child’s most formative years from birth to 5 years.
