… and it’s a wrap! 😃
Final two spring term students tutored this morning ✅Couple of April invoices sent and paid already ✅ Chilled afternoon of admin and garden jobs ✅
(In between the random hailstones 🤯)
No more students for a whole week but looking forward to catching up on a long overdue mix of sorting and gardening here at the Learning Garden headquarters 😆
💚 Spring 🪴
Huge thanks to all my amazing students and families - I love working with each and every one of you. Have a very well deserved break and see you all again in the summer term!

Hoping your children have all enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day - don’t forget a bedtime story. 🛌 📖 🪴

Student working hard on fractions while I’m
sipping herbal tea! ☕️ I’m so well looked after by all my families. 🥰 This student regularly asks if I can come and teach her everyday. Such a pleasure to work with, we have a lot of fun. 🤩 🪴

Telling myself off because it’s February and I don’t think I’ve posted at all in 2026 yet and I was determined to become more regular at this! 😭. In my defence (to myself😏)my days are pretty busy at the moment. I started work online at 9 this morning for two hours and then dashed out at to work in person with a total of five more students finishing at 6.45 pm. I’m attaching a small selection of photos from today to highlight the variety (which I absolutely love). Can’t complain - I’ve had a day full of hardworking students who love to learn with lots and lots of laughter in the mix! 🥰🪴

Keeping up to speed with the latest updates. Very topical of course right now too. This world is changing rapidly there’s so much to be aware of. It’s increasingly difficult to keep our children safe online these days. 🙁 If they have electronic devices remember to be very aware of what they’re accessing. It’s easier to bring in regular checks and keep communication open when they’re young or when the devices are still a novelty. Get them used to these conversations by the teen years - as we all know it gets so much harder to monitor and guide them by then. If they’re not used to the checks and don’t understand the dangers, the harder they will resist! 🤯🥰🪴

Just enjoying myself at my work Christmas party as a self-employed person. Hope it doesn’t get too out of control before I go to bed at 10pm.

Haven’t shared this for a while - it’s looking a bit shabby but that’s because it’s so well loved. Our favourite spelling game here at the Learning Garden. Especially popular to land on: “eyes closed!” Not as challenging as you’d think… try it! 💪
a lot to be said for it! 👩🏫 🪴

Lots of movement involved in this division exercise. The children built an array before moving to the floor to write up their division sentence. They then checked their answer by using the inverse: swapping the ➗ for the ✖️ as they repositioned the boards. Great to see the 💡 as they realised that they already had all the numbers they needed for the multiplication calculation too- they simply had to decide which number to place where! Tricky at first but so lovely to see the speed and confidence improving with each new challenge!

Don’t let the fidget toys be a distraction- get them to do the work! They took turns to be the total in the part/whole models. They found bonds to 10 … then to 100 and even reached one thousand! Great work snake, dog and … squishy! 🧮 💯
