Opened in 1983, La Jolie Ronde has been a unique centre for learning not just a second language but a platform for introducing children to the everyday realities of the country and the culture they are studying. Our award winning programme, which is available for 0-12 year olds, ensures each friendly weekly lesson combines fun with exciting games, story-telling, songs and activities. We have over 1,660 lunchtime and after school language clubs across the UK & Ireland operated by more than 560 tutors and a current membership base of around 20,500 children.

Hola a todos! Hi everyone!
I’m a local Spanish-speaking mum who is launching Spanish classes for kids aged 0-11 in St Albans. As a mum of three bilingual kids, myself, I feel very lucky to give my kids the gift of language and I would love to share it with you all!
I’m teaching the award-winning La Jolie Ronde Programmes: they have been teaching children for over 30 years and parents voted them the “Best National Activity for 5-12 years olds,” for 5 years running, from 2014-2018, in the What’s on 4 Awards.
I truly believe that young children have the ability to pick up a foreign language quickly and that learning a language at this young age is excellent preparation for what is to come at secondary school level.
