I love it when charities, businesses and schools choose to upskill and spread the Makaton love: it means so much to those who use Makaton to aid their communication.

Christmas!!

Today was a great day: it was the start of delivering Christmas Makaton and music sessions across schools in Cornwall.

This is a favourite for me, and I love to see the staff and children enjoying learning, singing and signing together.

Roll on the next couple of weeks!!!

It's back!

My absolute favourite course to deliver.....

This is a must for parents, teachers, professionals and group leaders.

An interactive, practical course, where you will come away with tools and resources that you can implement straight away.

You will learn new signs and symbols for people, places, body parts and sexual content.

You must have completed level 2 in order to attend (or Beginners/Foundation).

Delivered via Zoom.

The power is a symbol and a picture 💪👌

I'm a visual learning and so also see things in my head in a symbolic way: the structure of a week, numbers to 100, certain experiences etc.

Is anyone else like this??

This incredible visual was drawn by someone who was a Makaton user when they were younger and who still processes language visually. Don’t underestimate the impact you can have on someone when you use signs and symbols. ❤️
