🫲 Simply Signing! 🫱

We include a touch of signing in our classes to provide a start at communication for little ones who are not yet jibber jabbering or may struggle to.

Even for those already communicating, it's also a good learning tool and enhances communication, stimulates the brain, helps them to build attention, learn to listen and follow actions, and develops their motor skills.

It’s just awesome when, through signing, they can give an insight into what’s going on in their minds before they can tell you! Heart-melting goodness!

Fancy finding friends and having fun with music, movement, sensory, signing, active play and social time - all in one AWESOME class?

📣 We’re back very SOON with HEAPS of fun to be having and, as always, a range of exciting and varied themes that are sure to get you all joy-filled and dancing into the autumn months! 🐭

We've got an excellent array of themes coming up again this term, including 👨‍⚕️👨‍🌾👷‍♂️Jobs, 👩‍🚀Space, 🌈Weather, 😁🥦Be Happy, Be Healthy, 🪗🎸Funstruments and our 👨‍🔧Pumpkin Patch special, all alongside the usual mix of music, movement, sensory, signing, active play and socialising!

The wonderful thing about Hickory Dickory Rock is how many boxes you can tick in one class!
✨ Along a foundation of exploring music and movement with a range of instruments and awesome music, there's also:
✨ Sensory elements and props big and small in just the right balance - swathes of fabrics, parachutes, lights, scene setting, sensory balls, things that scrunch, squish, flash, all the textures, the list goes on...
✨ A different theme every week, with just the right amount of weekly familiarity to benefit the little ones
✨ Activities and signing to aid communication skills (singing is also known to aid language development)
✨ Music for the whole family to enjoy, not only the kids. Still nursery rhymes and silly songs, but recreated in a variety of styles, moods and tempos to explore the wonderful breadth of music
✨ An instrumental section to allow for free play and expression, as well as socialising, incorporating themed circuits of activities, or...
✨ Action poems and songs, which aim to cover concepts to aid in brain development, listening skills, physical coordination, memory, imagination and developing skills such as clapping and waving
✨ Instruments, puppets and props to aid motor skills work, hand-eye coordination, play skills, imagination, physical development and balance
✨ Bonding time with your little one(s)
✨ And very importantly of course: socialising for both you and your little one in a ready-made community. ❤️
