Normal Play Spaces👧🏼

They may not always be Instagram pretty, but our play spaces are so well loved by our children.

Resources are chosen to be age appropriate and ensure all 7 areas of the EYFS curriculum can be covered.

Provocations are then added to excite and appeal to children's current interests.

But the true measures of success are the quality of adult interactions that enhance learning and deepen understanding.

How lucky are we to have this lovely green space on our doorstep? 💚

Space to run freely forwards and backwards.
Space to follow white football pitch lines.
Space to chase birds and watch planes in the sky.
Space to collect sticks, throw stones in puddles and count flowers.
Space to breathe...

So much learning. When you're not yet 2, the whole world is an awesome place.🌍

(Extra bonus, we came across no dog poo today. Not that I went looking!)

We are loving how Ferndene Park is being transformed. 😍

New play equipment, beautiful well kept flower beds and a fruit orchard. It's really wonderful for children to learn where their food comes from. There's apples, pears, strawberries and raspberries.🍏🍓🍐

After a lovely afternoon out in the sunshine, we retired to our sun loungers in the garden for some nature cocktails.🍸🍹

A fab day and it didn't cost a penny.😊

Thanks to Friends of Ferndene Park Ryton and everyone involved with the park for their hard work.💕
