A church hall has stood on this site for over 100 years. £1,100 was spent on the construction of a corrugated iron and timber parish hall and this was opened on the 6th January, 1906. The Parish of Greenside (https://www.greensideparish.org.uk/) makes St John’s
Hall available to hire at a reasonable rate as a service to the local community. The very large main hall, with a capacity of 200 people, is ideal for children's parties, sport, classes, dance, ceilidhs, wedding receptions and special events. There's lots of space to take a bouncy castle, tables and chairs (100 available). There’s also a small meeting room next door to a smart, modern kitchen that has two ovens, a fridge and a five burner hob - makes light work of the catering! A floor plan of the entire hall can be seen, with measurements in the photos section of our page. The car parking area can be used for a bouncy castle, BBQ or stalls. The hall can be booked for birthday parties, weddings or celebrations. Bookings for regular classes are also welcome. Current regular weekly classes as follows:
