February half term ⛅️✨

We all enjoyed our adventure to Potters world!

🐢🐊🐍We walked through the tropical village with exotic free flying birds, reptiles, insects and fish in a jungle-like setting. 🦜🦉🦆

👦🏽 👦🏼Explored the play tunnel and had lots of fun with our friends.🏠👧🏼👧🏽

☀️Soft play fun! 🌈

🌟We had a fantastic morning meeting up with our childminder friends at brockbush farm soft play! 👦🏽👶🏼
🌟The little ones develop their independence, take safe risks on the climbing frames, and practice those important social skills like turn-taking and sharing. 🧗‍♂️✨
🧑‍🧒‍🧒From navigating the steps to conquering the 'big' slide, every jump and climb helps with their gross motor skills and confidence. Happy, tired, and ready for a good nap! 😴🤸‍♂️

Meet our pets!

We have Roxy who is a miniature german schnauzer, Olly a tabby cat and some tropical fish! 🏡

Pets offer children benefits such as improved emotional and mental well-being and the development of social skills and responsibility. Growing up with a pet can foster empathy and compassion, provide a loyal companion and even contribute to a healthier immune system by reducing allergy risks. 🐶🐱🐟

All the children love being around our pets and it’s even more beneficial for the families who don’t have pets themselves! 🐈🦮

Happy Halloween! Lovely morning at le petit playhouse 🎃👻🎃

⭐️Another day another adventure! 🚦

🚌We had a lovely outing with the children this week — starting with a bus ride into Newcastle. Lots of smiles as we chatted and pointed out the sights on the way! 🚎

🎠 Our main stop was Tiny Toon in Old Eldon Square — a brilliant miniature play village made just for little explorers! The children loved pretending to be train drivers on the mini Metro, shopkeepers in Eldon Square, doctors, chefs, and even actors on the little stage. It was a great way to encourage imaginative play and confidence in a fun, safe space. 🤓

📸 While we were in town we also went to Screen on the Green where Yogi bear was playing. It’s always a pleasure to see them grow through play and new experiences. 🐻

🌞 Summer Adventures😎
We’ve been out enjoying the sunshine (and the rain!) with lots of outdoor play. The children have loved exploring and building friendships.

🛝 Park Days🌳
Climbing, sliding, swinging – we’ve visited lots of local parks where the children can move freely and build confidence.

🥾 Nature Walks🌻
We’ve been on lovely walks spotting bugs, birds, and collecting leaves. Great for curiosity and calm.

🏖️All the children really enjoy playing with sand. Digging, pouring, and building together. It’s a great way to support their fine motor skills, imagination, and social interaction. ⭐️

⏳Simple play like this encourages early maths, language development, and helps them feel calm and focused. 🗣️

🏝️It’s amazing how something as simple as sand can spark such rich learning opportunities! 🔢

🌟 Learning through play is at the heart of everything we do, helping children grow and develop while having fun ⭐️

Here are some of our activities, helping little ones learn colours, fine motor skills and numbers through play.

🦖 Using tweezers to match coloured dinosaurs – great for fine motor skills and colour recognition.
❄️ Breaking ice to find hidden pom-poms – a fun way to explore textures and hand-eye coordination.
🗼 Building towers – encouraging problem-solving, patience, and creativity.
🥣 Scooping and pouring cornflakes – perfect for developing independence and motor control.
⏰ Number recognition with the clock jigsaw – helping to build early numeracy skills.

🎄✨ A Magical Festive Season! ✨🎄

We've been busy creating magical moments and festive memories with the children! Here's a peek at the exciting activities we've enjoyed over the past few weeks:

❄️ Sensory Play – Our little ones explored textures and creativity while building their very own snowman.

🍪 Decorating Biscuits – The children loved adding festive colors and sprinkles to their biscuits.

💌 Christmas Cards – Tiny hands created heartfelt cards to share with family and friends.

🎄 Decorating the Christmas Tree – We helped decorate our tree at our local church. Our tree is glowing with ornaments and tinsel, all carefully placed by the children.

🎉 Christmas Party – We enjoyed meeting Santa at our Christmas party, singing songs and playing games.

✨ Christmas Lights – We took a magical walk to see the Christmas lights 🌟

🍂🥮🎃 Autumn Adventures 🍂🥮🎃

🍁 Autumn Sensory Tray: We’ve been exploring the colors and textures of autumn with a tray filled with leaves, pinecones, and other seasonal finds. The children enjoyed feeling and talking about each item they discovered.

🕸️ Gloop Spider Hunt: Our sensory play continued with a spooky twist! The little ones had fun hunting for hidden spiders in the gloop – perfect for Halloween!

🎃 Halloween Party: We had a Halloween celebration with costumes, activities and a few sweet surprises.

🧪 Potion Making: The children enjoyed making their own “potions” with safe, simple ingredients, stirring up a bit of magic in the play area.

🚍 Adventures with the Little Ones! 🚍

🚌 Taking a trip on the bus, where we spotted all sorts of vehicles on the road!

🚶‍♀️ Enjoying a lovely walk, making sure to stop and talk about all the cars and bikes we passed.

🚂 Train spotting! The little ones were thrilled to watch the trains rush by and count them as they zoomed along the tracks.

🚗 Playing with our car garage set, zooming toy cars down the ramps and learning about different types of vehicles.

It's been an amazing time getting out and about, exploring the world around us, and learning about all the ways we travel! 😊
