Frewen College Nestled in the beautiful East Sussex countryside in Northiam, East Sussex.

Frewen College is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 11–19, specialising in dyslexia and co-occurring Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs). Welcome to Frewen College - a unique school for young people between the ages of 7 and 19, with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia, and Speech, Language and Communication ne

eds. The school is divided into three parts: the Prep School, the Senior School, and the Sixth Form, which we run in conjunction with our partner establishments Bexhill College and Plumpton College. This means we can provide ‘all through’ education from age 7 upwards, and can admit appropriate pupils at any stage of their school career. We offer day and boarding places, We welcome children from Armed Forces families, and from overseas.

We're celebrating a record-breaking year for our Sixth Form students 🎉

Our strongest Sixth Form results on record, based on average point score, saw students achieve an average grade of C/Merit, with 36% of results at Distinction or Distinction* level.

⭐ Jess: three Distinction* grades
⭐ Seth: two Distinction* grades and one Distinction
⭐ Johnny: Distinction* in Uniformed Protective Services
⭐ Charlie: Distinction in IT

Students achieved, on average, 1.5 grades higher than expected, with 75% exceeding their predicted outcomes. Particularly noteworthy was Seth, who celebrated results equivalent to four grades above expectations, while Jess, Johnny and Sam P all exceeded expectations by two grades.

These results reflect not only academic success but also the confidence, independence and self-belief our students have developed during their time at Frewen.

We are immensely proud of every student and all they have achieved, and we very much look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.

Celebrating GCSE Results Day at Frewen College! 🎉

Frewen College students have much to celebrate this Results Day, with strong outcomes across a range of subjects and notable success in several key areas.

Outstanding performances included:
✅ 100% achieved Grade 4 and above in Music and IT
✅ 88% achieved Grade 4 and above in Art
✅ 66% achieved Grade 4 and above in History
✅ Strong progress in Maths, with 45% achieving Grade 4 and above

All students study at least 7 GCSEs, following the full national curriculum.

We are delighted that many students will be continuing their journey with us in Sixth Form, and we wish those moving on to other colleges every success in the future.

The Headmaster, Mr Loveday, comments: "What a fantastic day of celebration! We are incredibly proud of our students and their GCSE results. Their hard work, dedication and commitment have truly paid off. Congratulations to every one of them on their well-deserved success."

These are just two of the experiences highlighted in a recent British Dyslexia Association blog on adult dyslexia.

We know that as parents, your hopes for your children extend beyond excellent exam results. That’s why, alongside academic success, we help students develop the skills they need for adult life.

We are proud that all Frewen College Sixth Form students complete an AQA-accredited Frewen Diploma, covering personal finance, first aid and workplace preparation.

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the outstanding A Level results achieved by our Sixth Form students this year 🎉.

Maintaining our exceptional 100% pass rate, our students have once again demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination and ambition. We are also proud that 50% of this year's cohort will be progressing to university, taking the next exciting step in their educational journey.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our students, the unwavering support of our staff and families, and the transformative power of an education that enables young people with dyslexia to recognise their strengths and achieve their aspirations.
