An epic weekend awaits!

We're so looking forward to welcoming over 2,500 runners, together with our friends at Havens Hospices for the 2026 Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon on Sunday. This huge fundraiser brings together runners of all kinds, aiming to take on the 26.2 or 13.1 mile course with a HUGE welcome awaiting all at the finish line!

Meanwhile, for 10km lovers, we're back with the team at Oxted Runners for the Titsey Trail 10k which is another sell out!

Whilst we are now looking towards the end of another year, there is still plenty of running to be enjoyed and races to do.

This might mean running in bad weather, rearranging plans and having to check certain routes are passable. And of course, to reach new goals, you have to do new things and this can add to the distraction.

If things get hard on your training runs, it's because you are reaching for those new goals.

Just focus on the goal and you'll get there, one step at a time.

We are just catching our collective breaths after a fantastic Sunday of running in Essex and Kent!

How about that view of the St Helena Hospice half marathon start, so beautifully captured by LW PHOTOGRAPHY - and there was a 10km race that followed that! Two distances to choose from also over at Sittingbourne where we joined up with Sittingbourne Striders running and triathlon club for their 10m and 10km event too.

A chance to add some miles this weekend as across two events we have a half marathon, ten miler and 10kms to cover.

We're back in Harwich on Sunday with our friends at St Helena Hospice whom we started working with last year for the return of the half marathon. We had so much fun that we're back this year with a 10km race added in too!

Meanwhile, we're thrilled to be working with Sittingbourne Striders running and triathlon club for their sellout 10m & 10km race on the same day.

Running races in the heart of the community - we can't wait. Will we see you there?

Calling our Essex fam!

Our good friends at Havens Hospices are on the look out for some helpful volunteers who can donate some of their time and help out at the forthcoming Chelmsford Marathon and Half Marathon on October 11th.

All roles are straightforward and you'll be adding some magic to a special day which will be appreciated by all runners as they chase down the miles.

And because friends look out for each other, as a thank you for your help to them, we'll credit each of you who steps forward with a £35.00 Nice Work race credit (or merch credit if you have your eye on one of our hoodies or t-shirts!)

Kent you believe it? We've two cracking races heading your way this weekend as we join forces with our local race partners!

We're back at the Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon for 13.1 miles of sheer delight. Beforehand, our younger runners show us how it's done with their own junior race.

Meanwhile, lovers of all things trail will be delighted to see the return of the Eridge Park 10 Trail Challenge in Tunbridge Wells. A challenging course with something for everyone.

As we start to approach the end of the racing season (plenty more to come don't worry!), we start to reflect back on the races and days that have passed and assess our goals.

Yes, it can be frustrating at times but from frustration comes the reward and satisfaction.

Don't give up on your goals - grab a friend and run together - have a coffee at the end of a run - do whatever it takes to keep driving forward. And who knows? It might just come like a (Usain) Bolt out of the blue. (But it only will come by continuing to try so be more Usain)
