Three days of top-tier coaching, elite sailing and a stunning summer setting! ⛵🌞

The holidays kicked off with our inaugural Keelboat Regatta, hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, one of the most prestigious and exclusive yacht clubs in the world.

The regatta gave our Ryde sailors and those visiting from other schools expert tactical race management and high-performance racing in The Solent.

Guided by our Olympian and Ryde School sailing coach, Chris Grube, and paralympic sailing bronze medallist Niki Birrell, the sailors demonstrated exceptional dedication, agility, strategic thinking and sportsmanship throughout.

The exceptional coaching from Chris and Niki was beautifully complimented by our wonderful hosts at the Royal Yacht Squadron, who gave our sailors an insightful tour of the historic castle, and laid on a fabulous BBQ on the lawn overlooking The Solent.

An amazing few days and we're excited to do it all again next year! 🙏

Our Lower Sixth had a fantastic week settling into their new Ryde School Sixth Form.

With new day students joining us from across the Island alongside new boarders arriving from Germany, Austria, Italy, Ukraine and Japan, induction week was all about building connections.

From team building within tutor groups and receiving wise words from the Upper Sixth, to an unforgettable night away at Manor Adventure in Bembridge, packed with outdoor challenges, quizzes, and plenty of laughs!

Now our students are ready to dive into their studies and embark on what promises to be two of their most rewarding school years yet!

Our very own Mr Harding is getting set to cycle from the London Eye to the Notre Dame Cathedral this weekend, in memory of his Mum ❤️

Tom, and his friend Phil Bunn, also a Ryde parent, will cycle around 400 kilometres from start to finish over the Bank Holiday Weekend 🚴

Tom's Mum died in 2020, and he is determined to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK.

"Cancer took her from us far too soon, leaving a hole in our family that can never truly be filled. She inspired everyone who knew her with her resilience, positivity and unconditional love, and I can’t think of a better reason to push myself through every kilometre of this ride."

Huge congratulations to our incredible Year 11 cohort! 🥳

Today we are celebrating our best-ever GCSE results across every metric since 9–1 grading was introduced!

The stats speak for themselves: 👏

31.4% of all GCSEs awarded top grades 9 or 8
Nearly half of all grades reached 9, 8, or 7
43% of pupils earned 5 or more GCSEs at grade 7 or higher
94.9% overall pass rate (grades 9-4)

We couldn’t be prouder of everything our pupils have achieved.
