Greetings to all woodwind players on the Isle of Wight.

I am looking to hold 3 more courses on maintaining your instrument (1 each for flute, clarinet, saxophone), during December 2026. These would be one day courses at a cost of around Β£65.

Subjects covered will be regulation, cleaning, lubrication, cork replacement and much more. Tools and materials provided, just bring your instrument!

In order to gauge interest, please could you comment on this thread with 'Sax', 'Flute' or 'Clarinet', along with 'weekday' or 'weekend' as your preferred day.

Many, many thanks, Ian πŸ™‚

Is there anyone on the island who has expertise in making professional quality YouTube videos of workbench crafts - use of overhead cameras, lighting, cropping, close-up etc., that could advise me (happy to pay) on how to set it up, what equipment to buy etc.?

Just a reminder to my customers and to all musicians, not to leave instruments in your car during this heatwave. Temperatures can get high enough to melt the glue holding pads, corks and other components in place.
