A huge congratulations to the “Class of 2026” all of that additional studying has finally paid off as you celebrate your results with “Only Good People” and look forward to starting the next part of your journey with your Post-16 placements. This year saw:
⭐ 92% of the population secure above expected progress from your starting points at Elmwood across English and Maths, with 85% of the population doing the same within Science.
⭐ 69% of the population secured a Level 2 qualification within English.
⭐ 54% of the population secured a Level 2 qualification within Maths.
⭐ 38% of the population secured a Level 2 qualification within Science.
⭐ 46% of the population secured a Level 2 qualification across English and Maths.
⭐ 100% pass rate within BTEC First Award in Performing Arts.
⭐ 75% pass rate within BTEC First Award in Sport.
⭐ 100% pass rate within BTEC First Award in Home Cooking Skills

Class of 2026 Elmwood Leavers - Your results and selection of certificates have been posted today and should be with you tomorrow morning. If your postal delivery is delayed, parents/carers will receive an e-mail with your results letter from Mr Cross at 10.00am. You will be able to use the e-mail to support Post-16 enrolment.

We are delighted to announce that we have once again been successful in securing Turing Scheme funding for the 2026–2027 academic year🎉
The funding will provide more than 320 pupils across our schools with the opportunity to take part in a range of international educational visits, helping to develop their confidence, cultural awareness and global outlook.
This year's exciting programme includes:

Thank you for parents, carers, and staff for making this year’s Sports day one to remember.
A huge well done to every student who took part. Every contribution, big or small, earned valuable points for your House and helped make the competition such a success. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves, and we know your House Champions are proud of you too!

Yr8: Zach
Intrinsically motivated and a constant positive attitude. Demonstrated good progress in relation to his peers and always avoiding outside noise around him.
Yr9: Preston
Constantly demonstrating leadership skills during lessons and whilst representing the school during football tournament's, always bringing kit.

Character Champions are made not born!
This Summer Term's Character Champions have been announced. Riley, Rebecca and Shelli were awarded with the Character Champion Award which demonstrates their commitment to living into the Elmwood Values and Virtues on a consistent basis. We hope that Rebecca and Riley will continue to lead by example next academic year through their continued work within leadership and/or their sporting endeavors. Shelli continues to go above and beyond around our school by creating fantastic displays and board to keep Elmwood School looking like a world class environment.
