Earlier this month our Complimentary Therapist, Paula, attended Castlefields Health Centre Cancer Screening event. It was great to be able to speak to people in our community and offer them a relaxing treatment - thank you for inviting us along. 💜

To help ensure our patients are comfy we are looking for donations of new blankets and PJs (All sizes, but larger sizes in particular).

A huge congratulations to our latest Volunteer of the Month, Shelagh! 👏

Shelagh has been part of the Halton Haven Hospice family for over six years, generously giving her time to support both our Fundraising and Finance teams.

Much of Shelagh's work happens behind the scenes, helping to ensure donations and income are accurately recorded so that everything runs smoothly. While her contribution may not always be visible, it is invaluable to the Hospice and the care we provide.

One member of our Finance team summed it up perfectly:

"We'd be lost without Shelagh. She does so much for the Hospice that goes unnoticed, but we appreciate all she does."

Thank you, Shelagh, for your dedication, reliability, and the difference you make every single week. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our volunteer team. 💜

Why join our Twilight Memory Walk?

This year we are saying ‘Walking for those who walk beside our hearts – together making a difference.’ It is a great chance to get together as a community, gives you space to talk, reflect and remember memories, or simply have a chat and a laugh with your friends and family. Although this is a memory walk, we encourage people to get dressed up, have a laugh and a boogie along the way – making it a great event for the whole family.

Lilian came into Halton Haven Hospice twice in 2016, receiving symptom management support initially and end-of-life care later in the same year. Now 9 years on we have the privilege of speaking to one of her daughters, Paula, who has joined Halton Haven Hospice as a Complementary Therapist.
