🎉 Happy Friday & Another SEND Success Story!
Just before the summer holidays, a parent contacted me because her child was facing September without a secondary school placement.
Despite the family first contacting the Local Authority in October 2025, a suitable placement had still not been secured.
After taking on the case, I worked with the family, the Local Authority and the school to find an appropriate specialist secondary placement close to home.
I am delighted to say that Child A has now been offered a place and both mum and child are looking forward to starting their new school in just a few weeks. ❤️
We have also requested that the EHCP is amended to name the new setting, and an EHCP review has been requested for October to ensure that the plan accurately reflects the child's current needs.
This is exactly why advocacy matters. Every child deserves the right support, the right school and the opportunity to thrive.
