Blessings of the Summer Solstice which occurs tonight/tomorrow morning (depending on how you choose to celebrate) where it marks the time of the year where the Sun is highest in the sky, marking the longest day/shortest night.
As you may expect, the energies of Fire are revered at this time, powering our creativity and readying us for ridding ourselves of that which no longer serves us.

We made Bridies crosses in the last The Coven workshop but this is next level!

TODAY'S GIANT HUMAN BRIGID'S CROSS!

Thousands of school children and their teachers put on a fantastic display today in the shape of a giant St Brigid's Cross. The distinctive design is usually made from woven rushes, and displayed in the home to keep out evil, fire and hunger.

It all took place on Kildare's Curragh Plains, a place steeped in tradition, myth and legend. It's said this great plain was handed over to St. Brigid of Kildare in the year 480 AD, but it's history goes back even further. To the south is Dun Ailainne, a national monument dating back to 300 BC and the seat of the Kings of Leinster, and to the north is the Hill of Allen where legend tells us Fionn Mac Cumhaill (Finn McCool) and the Fianna assembled. 🥰

Bridies Crosses are usually made from natural materials such as rushes or straw. But that can be fiddly on your first try - so pipe cleaners it is! 💚🤍
