A simple sensory tuff tray play for the children.

We have been looking at different modes of transport.

Today we grouped and looked at the differences between land, sea and air vehicles.

Obviously the children enjoyed the sensory play more and following the lead of the children, we hid the vehicles and played I spy πŸ” x

The children are all interested in different modes of transport at the minute so we decided to take a trip to a park via the train.

We all sat beautifully waiting for the train and on the train.

We sang songs and practiced our slow and fast hands. We had a go at standing up on the train, it was very wobbly. So we stayed in our seats πŸ₯°

We spotted tunnels and signs and listened out for the names of the stations we stopped at.

We counted how many people got on and how many people got off (until we got to the busy stations and we couldn't keep up) πŸ˜‚

We did a short walk to the local park where there were lots of shaded spots for us to explore. We enjoyed hiding under the trees and playing hide and seek.

We ventured down to the river to watch the boats go by before returning back to the station and home for our lunch.

Just a trip to a park via a train brought lots of conversations. I love these kinds of days πŸ₯° x

After a lovely few weeks away with my little family. We absolutely recharged the batteries with lots of fun around the pool, lots siestas and lots of delicious food.

It was nice to just switch off and not have to think πŸ₯°

We were very happy to welcome back our little stars this week. They were very much missed by all ⭐ x

Our Little Stars have been very busy throughout this last month.

Not only have we been moving for May, we have been following the national walking month with many walks around our local area all whilst raising pennies towards the charity Young Lives vs Cancer

We have been out come rain or shine, walking our daily miles.

We stayed local as we really wanted to showcase to families, all the wonderful places we have right on our door step.

I think I enjoyed it as much as the children did too πŸ₯° x

Today is "World Bee Day and it's also "National Numeracy Day"

So of course, we had to count our bees out the beehive.

We have been working really hard on our numbers 1-5 the last few weeks and counting in order 🐝 x

When checking on our sunflowers seedlings we noticed one had sprouted. This was a perfect activity to introduce colours, shapes, size and numbers into the simplest of activities. We build up towers with broken down foam pool noodles.

One of our little ones has just started to count to 5 and others are extending to 10 and beyond.

We added foam to the plan to support the structure of their flower towers and they kept blowing in the wind.

What a lovely little set up that engaged the children for our 45 mins.

A great sensory experience too and afterwards we smelt lovely πŸ₯°

Who would have thought, a seed sprouting would give us so many learning opportunities 🌻 x
