We had a brilliant time celebrating Earth Day on Wednesday with you and The Heath Family Trust. The children got full creative control! They made insect hotels, bird feeders and butterfly cafes, as well as painted planters to brighten up the playground. 💙💚

Our school council have also planted a variety of flowers to attract the bees and butterflies 🦋 🐝

We had a very special announcement to make in assembly today… Our caretaker, Mr Hallworth, was nominated for the Unsung hero award from the Pearson teaching awards. Not only is the nomination itself a great achievement but we have now had word that the panel of judges have awarded him the Bronze award!
He thought he was coming to an assembly to show the children what he has been building recently but we tricked him and our head pupils presented him with a card and certificate.
A huge well done and thank you to Mr Hallworth for all that is has done and is doing to help improve our school. 💚💙

We have had a super exciting morning today with Rodney from Science Boffins. Each class has completed a work shop with firey, electrifying stunts and optical illusions. It has really brought science to life for the children. More photos to follow over the next few days! 💙💚
