Our 0-2 years olds garden, which has recently had a full refurbishment, creating a calming, secure natural environment. allowing our babies to develop in confidence, independence and giving our babies so many opportunities to play, learn and grow in stunning outdoor facilities.

Following our children's interests in minibeasts, we have enjoyed creating our own bug tuff tray, the children enjoyed exploring the tuff tray working on our hand to eye coordination as well as our fine motor skills operating the different tweezers. We enjoyed talking about the different bugs, talking about our favourite ones and what ones wasn't our favourite. we Also supported the children with recognising numbers, and counting the bugs. 🦋🕷🪰🪲

This week our children have been showing a big interest in insects and other mini beasts. They have been very involved with looking at and learning names of lots of different insects. They explored the mini beasts tray and then went on to look for bugs in the garden. We caught some wood lice and a spider which the children were very fascinated with, looking at them through the magnifying glass.

This afternoon to celebrate world photography day, our pre-school and toddler children have had lots of fun pretending to be photographers in our role play photo shop. They loved trying all the different props and costumes and pretending to take pictures of one another!😊📸

A massive well done to our Emma, who has had the green light to say all her level 3 course work is now complete, and has all been signed off. Emma now only has one small step to complete her whole course, which am sure you are going to smash your end point assessment at the beginning of September. ✨👏😍🤩

We couldn’t be anymore prouder of you Emma, all your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Since you started at Heathside, to have watched you grow in confidence as a practitioner, has been amazing. The care and support you show towards your role has been outstanding, you always go above and beyond and put 100% into everything you do for our children and families, so keep shining and keep being amazing, we love having you as part of our Heathside family!! 💚🧡🤩

This morning we have been talking all about the solar eclipse that will happen tonight. The children enjoyed creating their own solar eclipse using card and chalk. We discussed all about the different colours and about the full moon. The children then enjoyed using a card board box we recycled and made in to a solar eclipse box, they individual began looking at the sun and seeing the different reflections depending on where we positioned our box🌕🌔🌓
