Our Little Ladybirds
Where has all the time gone? It simply cannot be true, It feels like only yesterday We were welcoming each of you.
Some arrived with smiles so wide, Some clung tightly, full of fear, Some waved goodbye without a care... While Mum shed just a little tear!
With muddy boots and painted hands, And glitter sprinkled through the day, We've laughed and learned together, In our own special Ladybirds way.
We've counted bugs and chased the breeze, Built castles, dens and aeroplanes, We've filled your hearts with love and hope, Through laughter, learning, joy and games.
We've read the stories time and time, We've sung each song out loud with pride, And if we hear k pop once more... We'll smile... although we've cried inside!
We've searched for worms and tiny snails, Collected sticks and crunchy leaves, And somehow every pocket held A hundred wonderful "treasures" to keep.
We've watched first friendships blossom, We've watched confidence take flight, We've watched little hands grow steadier, As they learned to hold on tight.
We've celebrated every step, Each letter, number, word and sound, And cheered the loudest every time A brand-new achievement was found.
Dear parents, now we'd like to say, A heartfelt thank you, every one. For trusting us with precious hearts, Your greatest gift, your daughters and sons.
You've kissed away the morning tears, You've waved goodbye with hopeful smiles, Not knowing they were growing up A little more with every mile.
One day you'll miss the little handThat fitted in your own, And wonder how the years have passed, And how they've quickly grown.
One day the toys will all be packed, The bedtime stories put away, And you'll wish you could go back in time To just one ordinary nursery day.
So treasure every cuddle, Every question, every song, Because these little moments now Won't stay little for too long.
To our children, brave and kind, Keep dreaming big, keep shining bright. Be gentle hearts in a busy world, Be stars that fill the darkest night.
Be curious and adventurous, Believe in all that you can do, For the world is full of endless things Just waiting there for you.
Although today we say goodbye, Please know this from the start, You'll always be our Ladybirds, With a place inside our hearts.
So spread your wings with confidence, Let kindness be your guide. We'll always cheer you from afar, With endless love and pride.
Congratulations, little ones, The time has come to fly. We'll love you and remember you... Our Ladybirds, goodbye.
