🌟 Slippers on, brains switched on, let’s go!🌟

Our wonderful Year 6 superstars arrived bright and early this morning for their SATs breakfast - fuelling up, settling in, and getting cosy (slippers at the ready!) before tackling their next SATs paper.

Honestly, we couldn't be prouder of this lot. The way they've prepared, the attitude they've brought, and the kindness they've shown each other through it all has been an absolute joy to watch.

They've worked so hard - and they've done it with smiles, encouragement, and that brilliant St James spirit. 🩵💛

Whatever today's paper brings, they've already shown us everything we needed to see.

Go get 'em, Year 6 - we believe in every single one of you! 🌟📚✨

🌟 So proud of our St James children! 🌟

We're delighted to share that our pupils have taken part in the NSPCC's Speak Out Stay Safe programme - and we couldn't be prouder of how they got on.

A huge thank you to NSPCC volunteers, who came in to deliver the workshops with our children. The feedback shared with us afterwards made our whole week:

Speak Out Stay Safe helps children understand their right to feel safe, and gives them the confidence - and the words - to speak up if something ever isn't right. Such an important message, and one our children have clearly taken to heart.

Thank you to the NSPCC and our wonderful pupils for showing up as the kind, thoughtful humans we know them to be.

We've even got a certificate to prove it! 🏆

🗺️Can you help our village school? 🗺️

We’re reaching out to see if anyone has any OS Maps (Ordnance Survey maps) they no longer need. Doesn’t need to be local, any area would be great!

We’d love to use them with the children for outdoor learning, map skills, and exploration activities. Even older or slightly worn maps would be hugely appreciated.

🌟 Welcome back to our St James' Community! 🌟

It was absolutely wonderful to see the children back at school yesterday, filling the classrooms with stories of their fantastic summer adventures. We’ve missed the buzz of school life and it feels so good to have it back again!

Of course a very big (and extra special), warm welcome goes to our fabulous new Class 1, who are already settling in beautifully – we’re so proud of how brave and brilliant you’ve all been. 💛

And wasn’t it thoughtful of the rain to put on such an appearance for the first day back too? Typical British welcome ☔️😉
