We have a very busy week.

On Monday we visited Brandon Marsh to look for signs of Autumn. It was a wet day so our new puddle suits were put to the test and we had lots of fun cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen.

On Tuesday we went to the library and created puppets for the shadow theatre and pretend to be builders in the construction role play area. Then back home to wash our pumpkins 🎃

On Wednesday we helped Lynsey write a list of all the Autumn treasures we may find on our trip to Coombe Abbey. We collected lots of pine cones and conkers and of course lots of sticks which is our favourite things to collect.

Thursday morning; we only had one friend join us. So we had a little treat in the cafe and then went to buy some Halloween decorations. We enjoyed looking at all the shop displays.

We have exciting news! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

We have a rare space available on a Thursday morning 8-12:30.

This may suit a family who would like to introduce their child to a small child care setting without having to commit to a full time place. Or a home educating family who needs some short term support.

We are a home from home setting, offering care and education to children aged 9 months-12 years. We are low demand and use a play based curriculum that is unique to each child’s ability and their interests.

I am a qualified teacher specialising in Early Years education and children with SEND and I truly believe in building strong relationships and connections first to enable the children to succeed.

We have had a lovely couple of weeks visiting our favourite parks, playing with our friends and learning through child led play ❤️

We had a lovely day today creating our hedgehogs using our fine motor skills to peel and stick the stickers. It encouraged lots of discussion about hedgehogs and their habits.

We then decided to collect sticks and leaves to create a house for our hedgehogs using teamwork.

We had a lovely first week back after the Summer holidays. I had anticipated some tears on the first day; because for some children; it would have been nearly two months since we last saw each other. But everyone came in happy and picked up where they left off ❤️

🌱 Introducing Lilybeans’ Adventure Club! 🌱

Hi everyone!

I’d love to share my new venture with you all – Lilybeans’ Adventure Club.

This summer I’ll be running a small-group holiday club for children aged 3–13 years, open to both home-educating and schooled families.

🗓 Monday–Wednesday
🕘 9:00am–3:00pm
💷 £35 per day

Children will need to bring:
🥪 A packed lunch
🍎 Snacks
💧 A refillable water bottle

Our adventure days will include:
🌳 Visits to local parks and woodland areas
🌱 Gardening and outdoor learning
🐞 Nature exploration and mini-beast hunts
🎨 Crafts and creative activities
🤝 Opportunities to make new friends, build confidence and have fun!

Groups will be kept intentionally small to provide a calm, nurturing and personalised experience where children are at the heart of everything.

Places are limited.

On Monday we said ‘goodbye’ to our butterflies. One had a poorly wing. It had emerged with its cocoon stuck to its wing which I couldn’t remove. We placed it in a hedge to give it the best possible chance of survival 🦋🦋🦋
