🌱 Introducing Lilybeans’ Adventure Club! 🌱

Hi everyone!

I’d love to share my new venture with you all – Lilybeans’ Adventure Club.

This summer I’ll be running a small-group holiday club for children aged 3–13 years, open to both home-educating and schooled families.

🗓 Monday–Wednesday
🕘 9:00am–3:00pm
💷 £35 per day

Children will need to bring:
🥪 A packed lunch
🍎 Snacks
💧 A refillable water bottle

Our adventure days will include:
🌳 Visits to local parks and woodland areas
🌱 Gardening and outdoor learning
🐞 Nature exploration and mini-beast hunts
🎨 Crafts and creative activities
🤝 Opportunities to make new friends, build confidence and have fun!

Groups will be kept intentionally small to provide a calm, nurturing and personalised experience where children are at the heart of everything.

Places are limited.

On Monday we said ‘goodbye’ to our butterflies. One had a poorly wing. It had emerged with its cocoon stuck to its wing which I couldn’t remove. We placed it in a hedge to give it the best possible chance of survival 🦋🦋🦋

We have had a wonderful couple of weeks together; enjoying the sunshine 🌞

🌱 we have spent lots of time exploring our favourite parks and outdoor spaces.

🌱 Enjoying slower paced days in the garden whilst playing with the water and reading books

🐛We watched our caterpillars transform into butterflies 🦋

We had a lovely morning in our local park!

The children found some egg shells and were excited to discover they were pigeon eggs.

This led to lots of discussion about eggs and chicks and how they grow so we watched a video about hatching chicks which the children found fascinating.

Then our older friend found a ladybird larvae and this led onto more discussion about metamorphosis and we looked at the life cycle of a ladybird 🐞

We had a lovely start to the new term with a visit to Coombe Abbey.

A bit of problem solving today; when one of our older children got his aeroplane stuck in a tree at the local park.

“Let’s get a long stick!”
“It’s not long enough; we need a longer stick!”
“I got a good idea! What if Mya lifts you up with the stick so you can reach?”
“We could chop the tree down”
“Maybe we can blow it down?”
“My dad’s got a six foot ladder!”

Amazing critical thinking skills from ages 18 months to 40+ years but the aeroplane is still there unfortunately 🥺

Oh and there’s also an old shoe now stuck in the tree too as that idea didn’t work either 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
