Rugby High School students are celebrating exceptional A Level results this year, with over 10% of all grades awarded an A* and well over a third of grades being an A* or A grade! Alongside these exceptional results is the success of our students gaining aspirational and highly regarded places at universities, from Oxford and Cambridge, to successful applications to veterinary and medical science courses. Students have outperformed last year’s grading on the national AAB measure too.
In further fantastic news for our students, six students have gained at least 3 A*s or above, with several gaining four.
Our Head teacher Mr Mark Grady said, “We are elated with these results. It proves that RHS is absolutely the place where you can rely on getting the very best grades and support to ensure you can fulfil your potential, and achieve the very highest of successes.
RH6 is the right place for students who are curious, have a joy and love of learning, and who are aspirational for their future. The support from staff means that whatever your ambitions, they can be realised here at RHS in our sixth form.
These results are a testament to the incredible work of our highly skilled staff, and of course, the dedication and commitment of our students and families, working in partnership with us to gain the very best outcomes.
We are so very proud of their efforts, and wish them every success in their next steps. The vast majority of our students have gained their first choice of a university place. This was a year when our students applied to do a huge range of courses, from artificial intelligence to animation, law, sciences, engineering and criminology, arts and humanities.
Not only that, students are also off on gap years, before starting their studies, and several students have successfully applied for apprenticeships in the workplace. We are, quite simply overwhelmed at the success stories of our students.”
