The symptoms and signs of Group A strep infection - which is also known as scarlet fever.
Children have a high temperature, a sand paper like rash, sore throat and strawberry tongue.

If your child has these symptoms, phone your GP.
They normally do a throat swab to confirm and treat with antibiotics.
If this happens at the weekend, then call 111 for advice.
