We currently have a vacancy for a qualified level 2/3 early years educator at Tiny Toes Pre-School. This a part time, term-time only position, with the possibility of an increase in hours.

What a lovely day for a bug hunt.
The children have enjoyed exploring the mini beast area, looking at books and thinking of ideas of what to find.
Using the magnifying glasses, they enjoyed counting the woodlouses legs.

👑🇬🇧 Coronation Party 🇬🇧👑

This week we have been learning about the coronation and what it means to us and our country.

We’ve shared stories about the King, made our own crowns and finished it off with a big party this morning, where we’ve eaten coronation cake, crisps and drank squash, and then danced to some music.

Fun in the snow ❄

Today we have celebrated St. Davids day.
We have spoken about daffodils, the colours, the smells and how they grow.
We have also been painting, mark making, cutting and sticking various daffodils. 🌼

Here are some other photographs of our self help snack. Today they chose their own fruit, and using our safety knives cut it up. 🍊 🍎 🍌

Today at tiny toes we have been enjoying baking some healthy muffins!
The children have enjoyed making their own mixture, adding blueberries, raspberries and bananas 🍌 followed by enjoying them for our afternoon snack.
We also enjoyed the outdoors today. 🌞 ☀️
The children enjoyed weaving using various fabrics and materials on the obelisk.

Today we have been celebrating Chinese new year. This year is the year of the rabbit 🐰
We have decorated some pictures, lanterns and cut and glued some patterns.
We have made some fireworks out of pipe cleaners and ribbon, the children have been cutting the ribbon.

The symptoms and signs of Group A strep infection - which is also known as scarlet fever.

Children have a high temperature, a sand paper like rash, sore throat and strawberry tongue.

If your child has these symptoms, phone your GP.
They normally do a throat swab to confirm and treat with antibiotics.

If this happens at the weekend, then call 111 for advice.

Who doesnt love exploring in the mud?!
Today we have enjoyed jumping in muddy puddles, the children have sang a song and pretended to be peppa pig 🐷
They have explored in the mud kitchen, problem solving to fit the mud pie into the oven by emptying the mud into a smaller container, and others have created potions.
There are so many open opportunities outdoors.
Please remember hats, scarves, wellies if your child does not already have them and an all In one is advised due to getting muddy, cold and wet legs.
