If you've booked your child onto a Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme this summer, it's almost time to get started!

✅ Activities begin today - Monday 20 July 2026
✅ Food is provided at every activity – no lunchbox needed!
✅ Please check directly with your activity provider for your specific dates and times

Some exciting news from our Saplings Gardening Club! 🌻 This year, our dedicated gardeners have been working incredibly hard to transform areas of our school grounds, and their efforts are really beginning to bloom.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome the Rugby in Bloom judges, who were given a guided tour by members of our Gardening Club. The children were fantastic ambassadors for our school, confidently sharing the knowledge and skills they have developed throughout the year. They represented Saplings with enthusiasm, pride, and passion, and we couldn't be prouder of them.

Well, the judges were extremely impressed and we learned this week that we have won the platinum award and trophy 🏆. This is a real testament to the incredible dedication and hard work shown by Mrs Palmer (and Mr Palmer), who has made everything possible. We now look forward to October and the awards ceremony where we will meet the mayor!

The Saplings Gardening Club will be back in the Autumn term. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and we appreciate all the lovely comments as you pass through the school grounds 🪴

Celebrating our children who had 100% attendance this year! And the children who had 98% or 99% which is really fantastic, too! We had a tea party and play in the sandpit as a treat! So proud of these children and families for their commitment.

Attendance REALLY does make a huge difference to your child’s educational outcomes. It’s a new year from September and we will be celebrating half termly 100% attendance to keep this trend going… 🎉

As part of our learning about people and communities Reception children had a visit yesterday from Dr. Maxwell from Abbey House Medical Practice, Daventry. He talked to us about doctors being there to help us and even let us have a go with some of his medical instruments whilst explaining what they do to help him ibn his work.

Huge thanks to FOBIS for their dedicated hard work in organising and running such an amazing event. Also a big thank you to the staff and families who helped and finally to the parents, community and children who braved the heat to support it. We hope you had lots of fun!
