Loneliness is something many women experience, but it’s not something we always talk about 🩷
Did you know that 2.03 million adults aged 50+ are projected to experience frequent loneliness in 2026? This has increased from 1.36 million in 2016.
Even more concerning, 3% of people aged 65+ say they can go an entire week without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member.
Loneliness can happen for many reasons, from changes in health and mobility, to bereavement or having a smaller social circle.
At Gymophobics, we see every day the difference that being around other women can make.
Our gyms are not just a place to exercise. They’re places where women can come for a chat, a coffee, a laugh, or simply to be around others.
Sometimes the biggest benefit isn’t just getting stronger physically. It’s finding a community that makes you feel supported and welcome 🩷
If you’ve been feeling lonely or would love to meet some new people, we’d love to welcome you into Gymophobics for a chat and a session.
