Old Crescentian, Will Browne (Class of 2014) has recently returned from Malawi where he visited the Bwengu area. Will and his sister, Olivia, and brother, Matthew, all raised money for Bwengu Projects during their time here at Crescent and it was wonderful to see Will following up on those projects now. Will took some Crescent caps and pens to give to local children and you can see him pictured here with children at a local Bwengu school. He also visited one of the buildings Crescent School helped fundraise for which is run as a medical clinic. Thank you for sharing these fantastic photos Will.

Introducing The Nook!
Mrs Stapleton, together with Mrs Chang and her daughter, have transformed the breakout area at the far end of school. They have given the room a proper makeover creating a dedicated space next to her classroom to support independent and small-group learning.
They’ve named it The Nook and it looks so inviting with comfy seating, rugs, cushions, shelving, books, wall displays, small group tables and much more.
Creating a variety of learning environments, allows us to deliver individually tailored educational experiences for the pupils at our school. The Nook will provide a calm and more informal space, that promotes engagement and encourages learning.
We can’t wait to see the children’s faces when they see it on their return to school!

Since the start of the summer holidays, the Foundation's Estates team have been busy with a project to improve the path that runs down the side of the school. Over the years many pupils have happily made their way to and from our Pupil Entrance and on down towards the Mortimer Suite. All those feet have taken their toll and the paths were starting to look the worse for wear. They have now all been re-surfaced and don’t they look smart. Our new path is just one of a number of improvements the team are busily working on ready for the return to school.

🎉 Exciting News for Princethorpe College and The Princethorpe Foundation 🎉
Princethorpe College and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC), who founded the College in 1966, have completed a landmark agreement that will unlock significant opportunities for future development across the Foundation.

The deal involves release of additional land and accommodation which will support plans to:
✅ Expand sports pitch provision by around 70%
✅ Improve campus access, parking and traffic flow
✅ Create additional teaching, learning and staff spaces
✅ Increase sporting and specialist facility opportunities for pupils from Crackley Hall and Crescent School
✅ Support future development across the Foundation's campuses

Foundation Principal, Ed Hester, said: “We have been working hard on our campus master planning across all our three sites and the acquisition of the additional land and accommodation at Princethorpe will unlock immense potential to develop the campus further and overcome some current operational constraints.”

The MSC founded the College, now the senior school of The Princethorpe Foundation, in 1966 and whilst they relinquished all control and ownership of the College in 2000, they have remained strongly associated with the school and extremely supportive ever since.

Today we have said farewell to our wonderful Year 6. They have been amazing pupils and we are incredibly proud of them all.
We started the day with the Leavers' Assembly where pupils were presented with trophies, prizes, awards and certificates. In the afternoon, we welcomed the children’s families into school for the Leavers’ Service. Our celebrations moved many to tears as we enjoyed performances, speeches and prayers; it was lovely to be able to celebrate these pupils’ remarkable achievements with them all.
We wish Year 6 the very best of luck as they head off to their new secondary schools and their next stage in life.
