Sunday afternoon saw the final Choral Chamber Concert of the academic year where 5 ensembles performed a wonderfully wide range of repertoire. The 3 A Ca****la groups; Mixed voices, Lower Voices and Upper Voices all performed a variety of music each. These were punctuated by three large performances by the Rugby School Choir, from Queen to Marvin Gaye.

There was even a short staff piece performed by Mr Sandy, Ms Milner, Mr Mitchell and Mr Robson…🧸!

Well done to all who performed and thank you for entertaining us!

Welcome to the razzmatazz of our themed ‘West End to Broadway’ show, in celebration of 50 years of girls’ education at Rugby School. Each year our performing arts scholars, together with some of our most enthusiastic musical theatre actors, perform a selection of hit numbers to crown the school year with a joyous showcase. 

With songs this year from such notable hit musicals such as A Chorus Line, Matilda, and Wicked, our fabulous ensemble will illuminate established numbers with fresh interpretations guaranteed to make you smile. Accompanied by our champion jazz band, our talented musical theatre students will hit all the high notes with their brilliant performing. Join us for a delightful afternoon recital of Vaughan Williams and Schumann performed by our GTAs.
Hugh Mitchell will be performing extracts of RVW’s Songs of Travel followed by James Robson performing Schumann’s Liederkreis Op.24 in its entirety.

The Rugby School Group is looking to appoint a Graduate Music Teacher & Chorister Tutor at Bilton Grange Preparatory School for September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Musician to assist with the running of the Music Department at Bilton Grange, as well as assisting with Chorister rehearsals, Music lessons and organising concerts.

The successful candidate is likely to have experience of choral conducting, organ and/or keyboard accompaniment, and working with children.

Rugby School is looking to appoint an Organ Scholar to play for services and concerts in both Rugby School and Bilton Grange as part of our internationally renowned choral programme. This is a full time one year fixed-term post, term-time only, with accommodation provided.

The Organ Scholarship provides an exciting opportunity for a talented musician to build on their skills in a thriving and supportive environment, while contributing significantly to the musical life of the schools as an integral part of the music team.
