This beautiful and unique shirt was made by my lovely student Sue.
It was made with a vintage, hand embroidered table cloth. She carefully placed the pattern pieces so that the embroidery would be symmetrical.
Fantastic work Sue 👏🏻 well done.

Lisa has been having lessons at the Sewing Shack for a few year and has made some beautiful garments. This one however, is the best yet. It is a stunning dress made in denim. With a wrap waist tie which cinches in the waist. You look amazing in it Lisa and have done a beautiful job.

For her Duke of Edinburgh award Isabelle had 12 sewing lessons at the Shack. Here are a few things she made. Some projects we made in one or two lessons, others took a little longer as they were more complicated.
Well done Isabelle 👏🏻 it's been fun teaching you and I'm so glad you are continuing with lessons.

A few things that interested and inspired me while on my recent trip to Paris.
"What have these photos got to do with sewing ?" I hear you ask.
Well .. I see things in patterns. I have a passion for fabric and pattern design. Sometimes when I look at something, I see it multiply into a pattern.
Just the way my brain works I guess 😁

You worked so hard making this top and skirt. You had many challenges (mainly the difficult fabric )however with patience, persistence and consistency you have done a fabulous job.
