Exciting news that Pennthorpe has joined the Hurst family of schools. This new partnership provides stability and strength for Pennthorpe and we look forward to the future with a new spring in our step.

An exciting new chapter for Pennthorpe

We are delighted to share some important news with our Pennthorpe families. From the start of the Spring Term 2026, Pennthorpe Prep School will be joining the Hurst family of schools.

This partnership brings together two schools with shared values and a strong commitment to excellent education and outstanding pastoral care. Importantly, Pennthorpe will remain proudly Pennthorpe, retaining its unique ethos, community spirit, and focus on nurturing happy, confident children, while benefitting from the support and stability of being part of a well-established and respected College.

For our families, this means exciting opportunities ahead and a secure, positive future for our children, while staying true to everything that makes Pennthorpe such a special place.

We look forward to sharing more over the coming weeks and to continuing this journey together as a school community.

What a Day to Remember! 💙💛

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome so many Old Pennthorpians back to school recently for our alumni event! The school was buzzing with laughter, stories, and heartfelt reunions as former students reconnected with old friends, colleagues, and teachers.
From exploring familiar corridors to seeing how the school has grown and evolved, it was a joy to witness the Pennthorpe spirit alive and well. Thank you to everyone who came back to share memories and make new ones - your presence made the day truly special.

We have regrettably taken the decision to postpone our Alumni gathering on Saturday 10th May. We have had interest from a number of our Old Pennthorpians who are keen to attend but unavailable on the given date. We will reschedule for later in the year and will shortly share the new date and hope that many more of you will be able to join us.

Throwback to the 1950s: Pennthorpe’s 1st XI cricket team in 1956. As we begin 2025, we reflect on the incredible legacy of our Old Pennthorpians who laid the foundation for the spirit and camaraderie we cherish today.
