🌟 Exciting news for Hertfordshire families! 🌟

The Family Support Service, together with Best Start Family Hubs in Watford and Stevenage, is launching The Incredible Years® Preschool Parenting Programme this autumn.

Designed for parents and carers of children aged 3–5, this 15-week programme helps families build stronger relationships, encourage positive behaviour, and support children’s emotional regulation, language, social skills, and problem-solving through practical, evidence-based strategies.

✅ Learn through play, praise, positive attention, effective routines, and calm, consistent approaches to challenging behaviour
✅ Support from trained practitioners every step of the way.
✅ Available online or in person

🎉 Huge congratulations to our wonderful Tabitha! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Tabitha achieving her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification with a Distinction – a fantastic accomplishment and so well deserved!

The assessor’s feedback speaks for itself:

“Overall, this learner exceeded the expectations of the Level 3 Early Years Educator standard. Their professionalism, passion for early years education, extensive knowledge and positive influence within the setting make them an excellent role model for others within the sector. Their practice consistently reflected outstanding performance and a genuine commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for children.”

We couldn’t be prouder. Tabitha’s dedication, enthusiasm and genuine care for every child shines through every day, and we are so lucky to have her as part of the Barkway Preschool team.

A huge thank you to everyone at Barley Barkway Federation First School, especially Mrs Whittaker, for inviting Barkway Preschool to take part in their Sports Morning.

Our preschool children had such a wonderful time joining in with all the fun activities. It was fantastic to see them smiling, cheering each other on, and giving everything a go!

A big thank you also to all our preschool parents and families who came along to support the children. Your encouragement made the morning even more special.

We are so grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity for our children to be part of such a lovely event. Everyone had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait for next year! 🌞🏃‍♀️🏅
