This September marks 20 years since Croydon Communicators was chartered - a milestone built on countless speeches, evaluations, laughter, and growth.

Speech contests are a Toastmasters tradition, competition begins with club contests, and winners continue competing through the Area, Division and District levels.

Humorous Speech
Contestants present a humorous speech that must be thematic in nature (opening, body, and close), not a monologue (series of one-liners).

Table Topics Speech
An impromptu speech, all contestants are assigned the same topic, told to them when they are introduced by the contest chair.

Guests are welcome to attend our meetings for free and find out about Toastmasters! Just turn up on the night, if you have any questions do drop us an email to [email protected]

Fellow Toastmasters, are you ready for contest season?

At this Thursday's online meeting, one of our most esteemed club members and past president 𝐃𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐥 (Daniel Magill World Championship of Public Speaking Semi Finalist 2022, and District 91 winner of both the International Speech and Humorous Speech Contests 2022) will be running a humorous speech workshop.

We are also delighted to welcome back an outstanding guest speaker and member of multiple clubs across the world 𝐄𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 (Elyssa Schneider District 91 winner of the Table Topic Speech Contest 2022) who will be running an impromptu speech workshop.
