Hello Parents! Long time no see!

I’ve been pretty absent from this page as on the build up to summer I was working near enough 12 hour days, and after that have given myself a couple months off.

I just wanted to let people know that I am looking for more work again! I am starting university later this month and have daytime availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and evening availability every other day! I will start uploading the calendars like I used to as well, now that there’s some spare time to fill again :))

Just a reminder I’m happy to cover days, evenings, overnights and early mornings! Just as long as I’m free :)

A big well done to the girl I nanny who’s just gotten her 1st library certificate!

If you’re local to the Cambridge central library I’d absolutely recommend getting a children’s library card for your little one, under 5’s are able to collect stamps on a card and for every 6 stamps they get they’ll get a new certificate!

This little one adores going to the library and getting her stamps, it makes the experience much more exciting for her :))

Today I took one of the children I look after to shepreth wildlife park! She had a blast and our favourite part was definitely all the bunnies! Sadly we weren’t able to make any of the talks or demonstrations, but the wildlife park was fantastic and she had a wonderful morning!

Hello parents!! As we are approaching spring/summer I’ve been thinking about possibly hosting some weekend activities for families in and around Cambridge!

As a lot of you know I’m a very creative and artistic person, and love sharing that passion with the children I look after. Since I started doing nannying/babysitting full time I’ve wanted to explore the idea of doing art clubs on some weekends with children and families who’d want to attend.

I still need to look into how I’d go about booking a space, but if anyone had any ideas or would be interested in something like this please let me know! It would cost money, but that’s again something I would have to work out at a later stage of the plan.

I also have friends who would be willing to help out, and I would get anyone who wanted to assist me in the club a dbs check and ensure they were well suited to being around children. But it would mean there’d be multiple people as well as parents there to help out with the art/activities☺️

Please let me know if this is something you’d be interested in, or if you have any ideas that would be greatly appreciated as well!!

I went to the Central Library in Cambridge today with the girl I nanny and thought I’d share these posters for any parents who may be interested! I’ve been to a couple of the storytime’s and rhymetime’s and they are super nice activities for children! The other fun thing with attending the rhyme/story times are that if your child is under 4 they can qualify for a children’s library card. I can’t remember the specifics but when books are checked out or the activities are attended you can get stamps and eventually certificates for your little one! I go to the library at least once a week with the little girl I see daily and if you ever have the time I’d really recommend going :)

Today I made sock puppets with some of the children I look after! I helped the younger child make the unicorn and mouse, and the older child was able to do the butterfly on her own. It’s a super affordable activity (£3 socks from Primark and a £6 craft set from The Works — you’ll also need a hot glue gun but you can get those for £5 from hobbycraft) and the children absolutely loved making them and playing with them afterwards :)

Recently I’ve been taking the child I nanny to The Little Gym Cambridge, she absolutely loves it and the staff and environment are both amazing! We’ve only gone to two sessions together but I wanted to share as I think gymnastics is an amazing skill to get children into, and I couldn’t recommend this place enough even if our time there so far has been brief!

Earlier this week I went on a trip to the Fitzwilliam Museum with one of the children I look after! She loved the Egyptian section and all of the pottery, if you want an outing similar for your child(ren) you can contact me on messenger or WhatsApp :)
