Because sometimes even our staff need a wiggle break!

Last week our staff took part in an information filled training day we covered lots of topics such as, Inclusion, safeguarding and professionalism we were also very lucky to have Lou from thinking come in and give us a bespoke training session on behaviour.

Celebrating World Bee Day 🐝🌼

Our little learners were buzzing with exitement learning all about the role bee’s play in helping flowers & making honey!

Last week we had a very special visitor👮

Following on from a children’s recent spark, they had a fantastic opportunity to meet a real police officer & learn about how they keep us safe in our community.

The children were full of curiosity and asked lots of questions. They especially enjoyed seeing the police car and the flashing lights!🚨

Experiences like these help build children’s understanding of the world around them and encourage positive relationships within the community.

Today our Willows children celebrated Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday 🌍

This week we have been learning all about his love for nature and animals. They watched parts of ‘our planet’ talked about caring for our world, and shared their favourite animals together.

The children created beautiful pictures of animals together to send to Sir David and worked together to write him a letter full of birthday wishes and curiosity- asking him some questions!

Today some of us walked to the post box to post our letters and pictures💚

Our curious Willows children have recently taken a big interest in the role of a postman so we followed their spark of curiosity and invited a very special visitor to join us!

Mr Postman kindly came in to talk to us about his job. The children asked lots of thoughtful questions and even had a go at guessing how many letters he delivers each day. Guesses ranged from 1 to 100… but we were amazed to learn the real number is closer to 300! 📬

What a fantastic way to bring learning to life and explore the world around us. Thank you, Mr Postman, for visiting us!
