So many gorgeous, funny, brilliant, cute kitties painted on Monday and Tuesday nights! At our Andy Warhol inspired Cat painting events. He created a series of lithographs called “25 Cats named Sam, and Blue Pussy”! For a book he published in 1954 with his mother, to celebrate their household of cats called Sam (and 1 called Hester!). How wonderfully eccentric. Thank you to all our participants, you were so much fun and as usual, the combo of art and pizza worked it’s magic 🪄

In art class, we tried out 4 ways of painting pool water! 🩵💙💚🤍🩵💙Gouache - leaving white space between our aqua shapes, and then layering colours with dark and white random swiggling lines. Watercolour - creating water swirls with masking fluid, then layering washes over the top. Then painting the darkest waves and gradually bring in watery shapes with more shades of turquoise, and finally some white lines.

I am so loving doing these Monthly Pizza and Paint Events at Palette & Pizza! Last week was this gorgeous goldfish painting by the Marvellous Matisse, and wow, what amazing results from everyone and tons of fun. And the pizza was off the charts!!

Join us in April for more inspiring Paint & Pizza nights!! This time the artist we are channeling is the polka dot queen, Yayoi Kusama. We’ll be recreating your own version of her “Mushrooms” (2005, Acrylics). No experience is needed, there is plenty of guided tuition. Fun, pizza, maybe even some drinks from the bar!
