A school without children is a bit like a pencil without lead… pretty pointless!

It’s been so lovely having everyone back these past couple of days, with classrooms full of chatter, laughter, learning and that unmistakable buzz that only comes when the children are back in the building.

⚽️ What an incredible week for Jack Duffy!

Yesterday, Jack played his first official match of the season for Norwich City Under-18s, helping the team secure an impressive 3–2 victory over Chelsea Under-18s.

Today, he returned to Beechwood to collect his GCSE results, having done very well in his exams, before heading back to Norwich.

As Jack told us, it has “definitely been a week full of emotions.”

Balancing GCSE studies with football at this level requires tremendous commitment, resilience and determination. We are incredibly proud of Jack and wish him every success for the season ahead.

Celebrating the Beechwood Class of 2026 🎓

Different starting points. Individual journeys. Ambitious futures.
Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate our GCSE pupils and everything they have achieved.

Ray secured an outstanding six Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and a Grade 7, while Florence achieved three Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. Jack achieved eight grades at 6–8, Rebecca secured a Grade 9 in English Literature, and Daisy achieved Grade 8s in both English Language and English Literature alongside exceptional individual progress.

⭐ 84% of grades at 9–4
⭐ 25% of grades at 9–7
⭐ 77% achieved five or more grades at 9–4
⭐ Positive value added across the cohort

Pupils achieved, on average, a higher grade than national performance data predicted, reflecting their hard work and the individual support they received throughout their Beechwood journey.

Celebrating the Beechwood Class of 2026 🎓

Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate our A Level students and everything they have achieved.

Christian achieved an outstanding A*AAB and will study Law at the University of Bristol, while Mae is heading to the University of York to read History. Ellen will study Liberal Arts with a year abroad at Exeter, Milo is heading to Canterbury to study Sports Management, and Ed has secured a full scholarship to study Sport at Neosho College in Kansas, USA.

⭐ 95% overall pass rate
⭐ 87% secured their first-choice university or destination
⭐ 100% of those wishing to attend university secured a place on a course they wanted to study

We could not be prouder of the Class of 2026 and cannot wait to see what they achieve next! 🎉
