Things you should NEVER ignore in school 🚨

Safeguarding isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it’s something a pupil says, a change you notice, or just that feeling that something isn’t quite right.

Here’s your quick guide to what to look out for & what to do 👆REMEMBER: Always follow your school’s safeguarding policy and procedures.

Save this & send it to someone starting out in school 👀

✨ Make this academic year your best one yet!

A week in already?! 👀 Whether you’re feeling settled, still finding your feet, or somewhere in between, remember: you’ve got a whole year ahead of you. 💙

Soak it all in. Get involved. Ask questions. Try new things. Learn from the tricky days and celebrate the little wins. 🫶

And most importantly… don’t put pressure on yourself to have it all figured out straight away.

One day, one week and one experience at a time. Here’s to an amazing year! 🎉

Starting your school placement soon? Here's what actually helps on day 1️⃣

Your first few days aren't about having it all figured out, they're about showing up, staying curious and getting to know the people around you 📚

Who's starting their journey into teaching this September? 🏫👩‍🏫

That line from one of our partner schools says everything.

One graduate joined Step Into Teaching unsure whether teaching was even the right career for them.

A few months later?

“It’s totally changed my world.”

This is why school-based experience matters.

Not just for graduates exploring teaching…
But for schools looking to build a sustainable pipeline of committed future teachers who already understand their community, culture, and pupils.

If we want to solve long-term recruitment and retention challenges in education, we need clearer pathways into the profession.
This is one of them.
