Wow what an amazing 7 weeks we have had.
At the end of the summer holidays, we had big changes here at little Gemz. We said goodbye to most of our little ones and wished them well on their next big journey to school. We welcomed some new little ones and helped them settle into their new routine. We also switched schools for the before and after school children and welcomed 4 new big children. They have all settled really well and we are now one big happy family.
Next week is half term and I am very excited to have some of the school children here all day, and to welcome back some of the children that went to school in September for some holiday care. Lots of cuddles and catching up are needed ❤

It's always a sad day when children leave to go to school, but today was extra sad as two family left. It has been an absolute please to look after your children the past 2/3 years and they have become a big part of my life. Thank you so much for the cards and presents they are trully appreciated ❤❤❤

We are starting our Jubilee celebrations early due to holidays.
Yesterday we built castles for our queen to live in, then we created our own crowns using natural resources.
We have also been learning the national anthem so we can sing it proudly at our jubilee party 👸🤴

First school run of the year today and what a slippy/snowy walk it was. We didn't have enough snow to make a snowman in the garden so we used cornflour and water to make our own instead.
We had lots of fun mixing the water and flour together and making marking with our brushes. We also added some food colouring at the end to experiment with color mixing.

We have had a busy few weeks here with lots of activities. We finally released our butterfly's on Thursday after watching them grow from tiny caterpillars.
I hope you enjoy your extra long weekend, eat lots of chocolate and come back next week nice and refreshed ready for some more learning.
