☀️ Can You Help Keep Highfields Cool? ☀️
As many of you know, Highfields is a much-loved older school building. Whilst it has served generations of children incredibly well, it was never designed to cope with the extreme temperatures we are now experiencing. Many of our classrooms have large glass windows, limited natural ventilation and no air conditioning. During periods of very hot weather, classrooms can become extremely uncomfortable for both children and staff, making learning far more difficult. This year, we have done everything we possibly can to keep school open safely but we need a more permanent solution.
Over the past few days, so many parents have asked, "How can we help?" We have been genuinely touched by your kindness and generosity. So, we are reaching out to our wider Highfields family.
