We had a brilliant morning at Newcastle University delivering a session for the Technology in Pedagogy module - part of the MA in Music Education https://www.ncl.ac.uk/postgraduate/degrees/4182f/
Great to see both students and lecturers jumping straight into one of our Addanote videos and experiencing the approach from the learner’s side; the discussion that followed was particularly encouraging.
We used “cups” as the “instrument” for this session – to remove any competence-based bias and because they’re a simple, accessible way to show how Addanote works. What really stood out was how quickly everyone picked up the sequence - that’s the power of incremental forward‑chaining, the step‑by‑step strategy great 1:1 instrumental teachers use instinctively.
Addanote makes it possible to bring that same clarity into a full classroom.
Huge thanks to the team at Newcastle for the warm welcome.
We’re really looking forward to returning soon to work with a larger undergraduate group.
