Rothienorman Pre-School Rothienorman Pre-School is a parent run playgroup commissioned by Aberdeenshire Council to provide pre-school education for 3-5 year olds.

Rothienorman Pre-school provides pre-school education for 2.5 to 5 year olds and is commissioned by Aberdeenshire Council as a provider of Pre-School education. We also have the facilities to take children from 2.5 years old. We are registered with the Care Inspectorate and the most recent full inspection report can be viewed on the Care Inspectorate website. Applications for places can be made fr

om your child's second birthday. Please contact the pre-school for an application pack. Parents with children already attending the pre-school are encouraged to join the private group for day to day updates.

Grunny Smiths Hamebakes will be attending our Tractor Run on Saturday from 3-7pm. She will have a cafΓ© set up in the side hall/ old preschool hall with some tables and chairs and will be CASH ONLY.

The menu looks amazing, why not pop down and see the tractors, browse the stalls and treat yourself to your supper too!! πŸšœπŸ˜‹

Β£10 to enter a vehicle and this will include a hot meal and drink after the run.
All vehicles to be in the car park for 4pm, for safety and the judging will then take place at 4.30pm
Free entry to the hall, with Hot food from Grunny Smiths Hamebakes, and over 20 stalls to browse.

Following on from the news of the closure/dissolution of the preschool, we are now looking to hold some open sessions for the general public/childminders/nurseries to view the remaining furniture/toys (lots of puzzles/games/books/puddle suits available) that remain and can be purchased for a small donation (a number of local groups have already benefitted from any resources that they wanted).
We will have staff/committee at the hall on

Friday 1st from 10-12
Monday 4th 10-12
Tuesday 5th 10-2

Please feel free to come along for a browse.

It is with deepest sadness and regret that we have to share this heartbreaking up date on our much preschool. Unfortunately we no longer have the required funding as a preschool and have to close our doors.

There is much to work through following this announcement and will update in due course. But today is the last day that the preschool will be open to the children.

On a positive note the committee will go ahead with the tractor run and any of the proceeds from this will go to support other groups in the village.

Thank you to everyone that has supported the preschool over the many years.

A heartbroken preschool team.

Keep your eyes peeled santa will be making a return visit to the tractor run on the 16th of December!
Always a popular event, booking times will go live tonight at 7:30pm.

Relief Support Worker

Due to continued growth, Rothienorman Pre-school are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to work as part of a team, supporting the provision of early learning and childcare working in accordance with the guidelines covering β€˜Realising The Ambition: Being Me’ and β€˜A Curriculum for Excellence.’ An interest in Additional Support for Learning would be favourable.

Working with children aged 24 months to 5 years.

Hours of work: Flexible relief Monday to Friday 8.30am -3.30pm during term time.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

This post is regulated work with children and is subject to the provisions of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must be or agree to become members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme, providing an enhanced disclosure with the expense being met by the applicant.
