Introducing the WPT Prom Bank for Year 6 and Year 11! 👗👞
Prom is a special milestone for our students, but we recognise that the cost of prom wear and accessories can be a challenge for some families.
That’s why we’re proud to launch the WPT Prom Bank - a new initiative designed to help future Year 6 and 11 students access and borrow prom attire, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to celebrate their big night with confidence.
As this year’s prom season is underway, we’re inviting students and families to consider donating:
🔷 Dresses
🔷 Suits
🔷 Shoes
🔷 Bags
🔷 Jewellery
🔷 Ties
🔷 And other suitable items
All sizes of adult formalwear and children's formalwear from 9 - 12 years are welcomed.
These donations will help us build a sustainable collection that can support students for years to come.
Donations can be dropped off at school reception on any school day or during the following drop-off events:
📍 Cutler's Hall, Sheffield
📅 Friday 24th July, 11am - 2pm
📍 Cranworth Road Centre, Rotherham
📅 Saturday 25th July, 11am - 2pm
If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
Thank you as always for your support!

Yesterday, we said a fond farewell to Jayne Smith as she retired after 23 years at Clifton Community School.
From starting in the kitchen at Upper School Cranworth to becoming one of the most familiar and welcoming faces in the school office, Jayne has supported generations of staff, students, parents and visitors with kindness, dedication and a smile.
Thank you, Jayne, for everything you have done for Clifton and our Trust. We wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement - you will be greatly missed.

Recently, the English departments across all five secondary schools within the Trust came together to host a Trust-wide poetry competition for Year 7 and Year 8 students. The competition challenged pupils to write an original poem based on the theme of ‘Memory’, encouraging them to reflect on experiences and moments that have shaped their lives.
As part of the Wickersley Partnership Trust Enrichment Promise, the competition provided students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their creativity and develop their writing skills beyond the classroom. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, with students demonstrating remarkable imagination and poetic talent. After careful judging, a selection of winning poems from each year group was chosen to represent their schools.
As a reward for their success, the winners were invited to Grimm & Co. in Rotherham on Friday 22nd May. During the visit, students took part in an inspiring poetry workshop, further developed their creative writing skills, and received certificates in recognition of their achievement. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for young writers from across the Trust to celebrate their success, share their passion for poetry, and take part in a fantastic experience.

🚨 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE 🚨
With the recent hot weather, we know how tempting it can be to cool off in local reservoirs, lakes and rivers.
We urge all students and families to remember the dangers of water.
The water may look safe and calm on the surface, but you can never know the conditions underneath.
Cold water shock, sudden drop-offs, and hidden currents are deadly. Even strong swimmers can encounter difficulties.
Please stay out of the water. Do not take the risk.

Last week saw two fantastic evenings of talent at the WPT Young Musician of the Year Final, held at Rawmarsh Community School.
Students from across Wickersley Partnership Trust secondary schools took to the stage to showcase their musical abilities in front of an enthusiastic audience and a judging panel of music professionals.
Congratulations to all finalists who took part and represented their schools so brilliantly. The WPT Young Musician of the Year Final once again proved to be a highlight of the school calendar, with audience members already looking forward to next year’s competition.

At Wickersley Partnership Trust, we recognise the importance of fostering a strong community in which every individual feels valued and a true sense of belonging.
We're proud that many of our staff were former students within the Trust schools; that we helped to shape their decision for their future careers and that they loved their experience within school and wanted to return to give something back to current students.
Take a look at Ms Clark-Green's Story:
"I attended Wickersley School and Sports College and here is where I developed my love of drama. I always knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher, but envisaged myself as a drama teacher. However, during an open event, someone described being a Primary School teacher as being the best role I would ever play and that really stuck with me. So, I changed the aim and went into primary teaching.
I came back to a Trust school for my teaching career and now work at Monkwood Primary School and it is such a rewarding role. The Trust and school staff are so supportive and I know that when I want to progress within the education sector that I will have the full support of my colleagues and leaders across the Trust."
