Last weekend, Beatson Clark’s history came to life at Clifton Park Museum’s Stuff and Stories exhibition.

With nearly 2,000 items in the museum’s Beatson Clark collection, there’s no shortage of stories to tell. Alongside many glass bottles and manufacturing equipment, the collection also includes some rather more surprising objects – including a model ship.

The exhibition invited visitors to handle artefacts, share their memories and discover the stories behind the objects that have shaped Rotherham.

It was great to see Beatson Clark’s history represented alongside collections from our local area, helping to preserve the people, places and stories that have been part of Rotherham for generations.

Thank you to Clifton Park Museum for bringing these fascinating objects and stories together.

We're delighted to announce that Beatson Clark has been shortlisted for the Consumer Convenience Packaging Award at the UK Packaging Awards 2026 for our UNROOTED Multi-dose Glass Bottle. 🎉

Developed in close collaboration with UNROOTED, the bespoke 420ml glass bottle was designed to hold exactly seven 60ml servings of the brand's functional superfruit shots, creating a more convenient multi-dose format for consumers.

We're proud to see this packaging solution recognised by the UK Packaging Awards and would like to congratulate everybody who was involved in bringing it to life. We look forward to celebrating with the industry at the awards ceremony in October.

Featuring a Deep Twist Off (DTO) neck finish, these jars deliver the premium closure increasingly sought after by food brands while using less glass to reduce packaging weight. From our 200th anniversary to our 275th, we're proud to continue sharing our glassmaking heritage.

As part of our 275th anniversary celebrations, we recently welcomed customers to our Rotherham glassworks for a behind-the-scenes look at our manufacturing and decorating operations.

Back in 1951, we also opened our doors to shareholders to celebrate another important milestone in our journey: our bicentennial anniversary.

For 275 years, our glassworks has continued to evolve while proudly remaining on the same Rotherham site. Throughout that time, generations of skilled people have passed on their knowledge, craftsmanship and innovation, helping to shape the business we are today.

We're proud to still be welcoming visitors through our doors, sharing our story, and showcasing the heritage, expertise and dedication behind British glassmaking.
