What a great couple of days it’s been for Dearne Valley Divers! 🤿

🛠️ Compressor Operators Course
A massive thank you to Paul and Pam for hosting our compressions course this past Sunday! Several of our members are now fully qualified compressor operators. Great job to everyone who took part!

💦 Monday Night Try Dives
Our pool was busy this Monday night, we had 4 great Try Divers in the water and 1 refresher. All did really well.

🌟 Special Spotlight: Congratulations, Sophie! 🌟

We have a very special achievement to celebrate this week. A huge well done to 8-year-old Sophie, who has officially earned her Dolphin Snorkelling awards! 🐬

Chris, our Diving Officer, had the honor of presenting the awards and announced that Sophie’s amazing achievements are a first for our club!

Instructor Donna Nixon praised Sophie’s immense dedication and effort in tackling every single challenge, saying:

"At just eight years old, this remarkable accomplishment is truly impressive, and I’m incredibly proud of her."

Sophie is already counting down the days until she is old enough to take her first underwater breath and become a full-fledged scuba diver. We can't wait either!

Well done, Sophie! 👏

A couple of our members are diving out in Cyprus at the moment. Looks superb! 👌

A productive and busy night at the club on Monday! 🌊

Huge shoutout to Sophie, who has now completed 5 out of 7 modules of her Dolphin Snorkelling course! Such a big achievement. 🐬

We also welcomed a family of 4 for try dives who did great! Plus 4 of our Ocean Divers continued their training. 🤿 A great night. 👌

Great training yesterday at Eight Acre Lake with Dry suit and first open water training (001) completed and some good open water experience gained. 👌

And of course who can resist a hot chocolate with marshmallows from the cafe! ☕

Try dives are £25 and a great way to see what it's all about in a safe and friendly environment.👌

First lesson for one of our new students last night as well as another happy try dive and some rescue skills being practiced.
