🌿🍂 **When a simple park walk turns into a learning adventure…** 🍂🌿

What started as a walk to the park soon became a spontaneous nature investigation when the children discovered conkers! 🌳

We collected some of our finds and brought them back to nursery, where the children were eager to take a closer look. Together, we carefully opened them up and discovered conkers at different stages of development.

This sparked lots of wonderful conversations, observations and questions as the children compared what they had found and explored what was happening inside. 🔍🌱

We love moments like these because some of the best learning happens naturally. By following the children's curiosity and interests, a simple walk can become an opportunity to explore nature, investigate change, introduce new vocabulary and develop an understanding of the world around us. 💚

Sometimes the best activities aren't planned at all! 🌳✨

"🧖‍♀️☀️ Nursery Spa Day ☀️🧖‍♂️

With the warmer weather here, we've been helping our children stay cool while enjoying a little bit of relaxation!

Today, our nursery was transformed into a mini spa, where the children dipped their feet into tuff trays filled with cool water and cucumber slices, enjoyed cool flannels around their necks, and took some time to relax before heading back to play. 🥒💦

These calming sensory experiences not only help children cool down but also encourage conversation, promote wellbeing, and allow them to explore different textures and sensations in a fun and gentle way.

We're continuing to make the most of the sunshine safely by encouraging regular drinks, enjoying shaded outdoor play, and adapting our activities to keep everyone comfortable during the warmer days. 🌿💛

There were plenty of smiles, giggles and happy little feet today—we think our spa day was a wonderful way to beat the heat! 😊
