Here's a little reminder of what to expect when you join Wickersley Sixth Form in Y12...

Joining Wickersley Sixth Form this September? 🎓

If you've accepted your place at Wickersley Sixth Form, it's time to complete your enrolment and get ready for September!

📩 Enrolment instructions have already been emailed to all students holding conditional offers. Please read the step-by-step guide carefully and complete your online enrolment as soon as possible after receiving your GCSE results on Thursday 20 August.

📋 What do I need to do?

Complete the online enrolment forms using the links in your email.
If you attended Wickersley School & Sports College, we already have your GCSE results, so you don't need to send them to us.
If you attended another school, please email a photograph or scan of your original GCSE results to [email protected].
Once we've checked your paperwork and subject choices, we'll confirm your enrolment by email.

Sixth Form lessons begin on Wednesday 2 September 2026.

➡️ Joining us from Wickersley? Arrive at 9:45am via the gates near Main Reception.

Today we celebrate the achievements of our fantastic Year 13 students 🎉

Behind every grade are countless hours of study, determination and perseverance, and we couldn't be prouder of everything this year's cohort has accomplished.

This year’s results mark a fourth consecutive year of improvement for our Sixth Form, with the average A-level point score rising again and more than a quarter of all A-level entries achieving A*-A grades. We are also delighted that 83% of entries achieved A*-C grades, reflecting the hard work and ambition of our students and staff.

Whether you're progressing to university, beginning an apprenticeship, entering employment or taking another exciting path, we wish every one of you the very best for the future.

Thank you for being such a valued part of our school community, and congratulations once again.

📢 Year 13 - Good Luck Tomorrow!

Year 13, tomorrow is results day, the culmination of all your hard work. We want to say how immensely proud we are of each and every one of you, regardless of the grades you receive.

Remember, your results open doors to the next stage of your journey, but they don't define your entire future. University, apprenticeships, or other exciting opportunities are all within reach. Our Sixth Form team is ready and here to support you through every next step.

📢 Uniform & Prom Wear Donation Drop-Off Day

Are you able to donate good-quality school uniform and / or prom wear? We'd be grateful to receive your donations and give them a new home within our school community.

We have a dedicated drop-off event planned:

🧽 This week, our students were given the chance to throw wet sponges at Mr Alecock, Mr Wilson, and Mr Meakin – all in the name of charity! The event was a huge success, with students enjoying the opportunity to take part while raising over £70 for Rotherham Hopian.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and got involved, and well done to our brave members of staff for taking part!

🎭 Our Year 12 Drama and Theatre students recently presented a performance of Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit as part of their mock Component 2 examination.

All seven performers demonstrated outstanding resilience and professionalism, delivering a 50-minute performance in challenging 32°C heat. Despite the conditions, they maintained excellent focus and projected their voices confidently, even over the sound of three electric fans keeping them cool throughout the performance. Well done to everyone involved!

🧪 A huge well done to Mabrookah and Emily in Year 12, who both achieved a Copper Award in this year’s Cambridge Chemistry Challenge!

The Cambridge Chemistry Challenge (C3L6) is a prestigious 90-minute examination designed to stretch Year 12 students by testing advanced problem-solving skills beyond the standard A-level curriculum. The challenge reflects the style and complexity of university-level chemistry, making this a fantastic achievement. Well done!
