Headline: A "Tail" of Friendship with Moose! 🐾🦴
We had a very special visitor at PUD this week—a gentle giant named Moose! Moose is a Newfoundland and a hardworking Audiology Support Dog. He was a total superstar and let the children brush his fur and give him lots of strokes. 🐕✨
The children had a blast getting him "adventure-ready" by dressing him in his bib, dry robe, and snood! But Moose wasn't just here for dress-up; he helped us learn some big life lessons. The children took turns picking bones from his bib, using them as prompts to discuss what makes a good friend versus a bad friend.
We also heard the lovely story of how Moose grew so big to play with his smaller friends, and how his Mummy found him a new best friend, Mavis—a fellow Newfoundland who is Deaf.
It was a truly "fur-tunate" encounter for all of us! Thank you for visiting, Moose!

This week at Games Club, we took a little time to celebrate something amazing! US. We spent the session reflecting on all the different ways we are each individual, talented, and amazing.
To wrap up the vibes, we got creative with some mindful coloring and sculpted some incredible plasticine models! It was the perfect way to relax, chat, and express ourselves. 🎨🌈
Check out some of our masterpieces below! 👇

It was so lovely to welcome everyone back to Games Club for our first session after the Christmas break! Seeing all those smiling faces again truly made our day.
We kicked off the new term by focusing on positivity and reflection. We started our very own Gratitude Tree 🌳—it was heartwarming to hear the children share all the things they are grateful for. From family and friends to their favorite toys, the tree is already blooming with kindness!
The creativity didn't stop there! Our little makers were busy:
🧶 Crafting fluffy, colorful pom-poms.
📿 Designing unique, handmade jewellery.
It’s going to be a fantastic term ahead. Thank you to everyone who joined us today!

We kicked off our first PUD session of 2026 by diving deep into the world of radio aids. It was so inspiring to hear the children share their thoughts on how this technology helps them connect and learn.
We explored:
The "Why" & "How": Understanding exactly how radio aids work their magic.
Self-Advocacy: Practicing how and when to tell a teacher if a device needs to be muted or unmuted.
The Impact: Discussing the big difference it makes when we use them vs. when we don’t.
We even experimented with how far you can go before the radio aids no longer pickup speech. Jacob and Mrs Cadieu managed 32 strides before the sound stopped.
To top it off, everyone got creative and decorated their very own radio aid pictures! Check out their amazing designs below. 🎨✨

🎄 End of Term Celebrations 🎄

We have had such a fantastic term filled with fun, learning, and lots of hard work. The children have all worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of them!

This term has been especially magical with plenty of Christmas fun — from plays and pantomimes to Christmas dinners, parties, and even a very special visit from Father Christmas 🎅✨

We were also delighted to welcome Mrs Handley this term. It feels like she has always been part of the team — she is so lovely and has slotted in perfectly.

We also say a fond farewell to Mrs Dodwell, who is off to pastures new. We would like to thank her for all the care, dedication, and support she has given the children during her time with us. She will be very much missed ❤️

We would like to wish all of our children and their families a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy the holidays, and we can’t wait to see you all in 2026! 🎉🎄

💛 PUD Session Update 💛

A small PUD session today, but such a meaningful one!
The children spent time with Mrs Handley talking all about what it means to be a good friend. They came up with amazing ideas and even shared some of their own experiences.

We are so lucky to have such thoughtful, caring children. 🌟

🎉 Games Club Fun! 🎉

Our children brought their friends along today for an afternoon packed with creativity and laughter! They crafted beautiful cards and pictures, made colourful pom poms, and enjoyed a range of board games together.

With lots of exciting things happening in school next week, today was our final Games Club session of 2025. It has been wonderful watching the children build friendships, grow in confidence, learn new things, and most importantly—have fun!

We can’t wait to see what the club will bring in the new year.

A huge thank you to all the children who have made Games Club such a joy to run. 💛

🎸✨ Rocksteady Stars in the Making! ✨🎹

Primrose and Finley have been practising every week with their awesome band, The Fluffy Sausages, and all that hard work paid off today!

Primrose shredded on electric guitar, Finley lit up the room on keyboard, and together with their amazing band they performed an incredible rendition of “We Will Rock You.”

And rock us they did — they rocked their socks off and had the whole crowd of children, parents, and carers clapping along and cheering!

Safe to say… they didn’t just rock us… they absolutely “We-Will-ROCK-ed” us! 🤘😄

We're So proud of these little legends! 🎶💛

🤩What an amazing day for our achievers! 🤩

A huge congratulations to Toby and Faris who received an award for showing incredible CONFIDENCE when presenting their work on deafness today! It takes real courage to speak in front of everyone!
And a special mention for Primrose, who won a Presentation Award for her consistently perfect books—neat, tidy, and everything glued in like a professional! 📑
Keep shining, children! We are so proud! ❤️
