The question often asked: "How much should I pay to an apprentice?"

In days of old, some employers hired apprentices primarily for their cost-effectiveness. But times have changed, and apprentices are now a powerhouse of potential for your business. They possess the capability to create a substantial impact, often surpassing that of a regular full-time employee. 🚀

Check out the file below for comprehensive information on apprenticeship wages.

However, here's a pro tip: offering a wage higher than the minimum can open doors to a pool of high-quality candidates.

It's a win-win – they benefit, and so does your business!

Our Study Programme has kindled a passion for delving into diverse business industries, with our recent focus centred on the captivating realm of Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2).

Intrigued by the potential of hydrogen as a clean energy source for the future, our learners delved into alternatives to PEM electrolysers, pinpointing barriers to adoption. The revelation came in the form of membrane-free water electrolysis, a cleaner, more cost-effective, and robust technology for hydrogen production.

Through this exploration, our young participants not only unravelled the intricacies of hydrogen as the fuel of the future but also immersed themselves in the inspiring journey of CPH2 Clean Power Hydrogen’s establishment.

This firsthand account serves as a potent source of inspiration for our budding entrepreneurs as they prepare to embark on their own ventures.

Stay tuned for more updates on our Study Programme as we continue to unravel the exciting narratives within various industries. 😉

In the UK, recruiting apprentices hinges on your status as either a levy or non-levy employer.

Levy Payers, your route is straightforward. You have the flexibility to recruit apprentices at any time, provided you have sufficient funds in your levy pot.

Non-Levy Employers, your path involves:
1. Creating an account with the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS).
2. Selecting a training provider (Yes, that's us!).
3. Linking your provider to DAS to facilitate the flow of government funds to support your apprenticeship programme.

Curious about DAS? Delve deeper to gain insights. 📚💡 No matter your category, apprenticeships offer a valuable opportunity to invest in both your business and the future workforce.

🌟 The Essential Role of Employers and Mentors in Apprenticeships 🌟

In apprenticeships, you are the guiding force. You are pivotal in your apprentices' growth within your workplace. Mentor is meant to provide direction, task assignments, and hands-on training, ensuring their successful qualification completion.

As primary points of contact with The Source Skills Academy , you're actively involved from sign-up to paperwork. You'll engage with OneFile, our online learning platform, throughout the apprenticeship journey. Remember, our team is here to support you and your apprentices when challenges arise.

Shaping Apprentices' Journeys.
Your influence extends beyond daily tasks, from sign-up to the End Point Assessment (EPA). Our induction days, typically held during the second or fourth week of each month, offer a chance for apprentices and mentors to connect. These sessions can be tailored to your schedules, including on-site meetings. Mentors are essential during the EPA, guided by our tutors.

Together, we can ensure apprentices gain the competencies for their chosen industry.

Safeguarding: A Collective Responsibility.
The welfare of young individuals is a shared responsibility. Everyone in our team contributes to safeguarding and promoting their well-being during their training at The Source. Any concerns should be reported following our Safeguarding & Prevent Duty guidelines.

Join us in fostering a secure and nurturing environment for growth and development. 👥🌱
