Our Study Programme has kindled a passion for delving into diverse business industries, with our recent focus centred on the captivating realm of Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2).
Intrigued by the potential of hydrogen as a clean energy source for the future, our learners delved into alternatives to PEM electrolysers, pinpointing barriers to adoption. The revelation came in the form of membrane-free water electrolysis, a cleaner, more cost-effective, and robust technology for hydrogen production.

Amir Hafidh, the education partnerships manager of South & West Yorkshire, recently paid us a visit, sharing his story and some incredible ideas with our students.
🌟 Did you know that we’re partnering with Young Enterprise, the leading UK charity? Through hands-on employability, enterprise, and financial education programmes, they aim to reduce youth unemployment and empower the next generation to learn, work, and live to their fullest potential.
👀 During Amir’s visit, our young minds delved into the nitty-gritty of business setup and officially registered on the platform. Now, the challenge is on! Next week, they’ll be deciding their roles within the company. Every position is up for grabs, and our learners are gearing up to present and “sell” themselves, proving they’re the perfect fit for their chosen roles.

Levy Payers, your route is straightforward. You have the flexibility to recruit apprentices at any time, provided you have sufficient funds in your levy pot.
Non-Levy Employers, your path involves:
1. Creating an account with the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS).
2. Selecting a training provider (Yes, that's us!).
3. Linking your provider to DAS to facilitate the flow of government funds to support your apprenticeship programme.

🌟 The Essential Role of Employers and Mentors in Apprenticeships 🌟
In apprenticeships, you are the guiding force. You are pivotal in your apprentices' growth within your workplace. Mentor is meant to provide direction, task assignments, and hands-on training, ensuring their successful qualification completion.
As primary points of contact with The Source Skills Academy , you're actively involved from sign-up to paperwork. You'll engage with OneFile, our online learning platform, throughout the apprenticeship journey. Remember, our team is here to support you and your apprentices when challenges arise.
Shaping Apprentices' Journeys.
Your influence extends beyond daily tasks, from sign-up to the End Point Assessment (EPA). Our induction days, typically held during the second or fourth week of each month, offer a chance for apprentices and mentors to connect. These sessions can be tailored to your schedules, including on-site meetings. Mentors are essential during the EPA, guided by our tutors.
Together, we can ensure apprentices gain the competencies for their chosen industry.
Safeguarding: A Collective Responsibility.
The welfare of young individuals is a shared responsibility. Everyone in our team contributes to safeguarding and promoting their well-being during their training at The Source. Any concerns should be reported following our Safeguarding & Prevent Duty guidelines.
